Don't forget the fire-bombing of Dresden, a beautiful storybook city with no miilitary significance, where more people died in a single night than in both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki blasts.

Having us destroy all those gorgeous, multi-century old buildings and all those centuries of art must have been very demoralizing for the Germans.

Not saying Hitler was OK or that we shouldn't have been involved in WWII. Just that we were supposed to be the good guys.
