When it comes to national security and the Congress, I'm afraid I'll have to disagree. And, as I recall, Congress has already give the Prez authority to "take all steps necessary." Which steps and the definition of "necessary" might be open for debate -- after all, it IS an election year.

IMHO, the issue is not that the current administration took actions that it (lets assume) was authorized to.

The issue is that the current administration has not been able to sell it to the American voters.

example : expectations were not set appropriately... now u have a gap between expectations and deliverables...
