I agree with you from the standpoint that they have gone too far and have greatly increased the odds for a recession. However, on the inflation fighting front, I believe we will see another surge in the credit bubble and asset prices should they pause or cut anytime soon. I fully expect them to take us down this path....inflate or die....unless the bankers have identified this as a point in history to do an asset grab. This asset grab would of course be related to the debt defaults that will likely accelerate should they keep raising rates because of their highly suspect sudden concern about inflation....
