I only pointed out the historical fact that they (majority of them, anyway...) opposed those military actions... WITHOUT characterizing those actions as 'strictly politics'. The CLOSEST I came to anything of that kind was when I pointed out the (equally true historical fact) that more Democrats are currently opposed to the Iraq intervention (percentage-wize) then Republicans --- and I suggested that it appeared that at least sometimes, 'opposition' or 'support' for a US military action appeared to have more to do with whether the politician taking the position was IN POWER, or IN OPPOSITION.
