I think ETFs will be the wave of the future, but read this: marketwatch.com{D6ABBD7D-BEF7-4096-A7FE-AF837E1703B3}&siteid=mktw&dist=.
It basically says that new ETFs may indicate a market high, because they are created when there is a buying frenzy in the sector, just when the market is peaking. I don't know how true it is, but it seems plausible, at least for some ETFs.

StockTradersAlmanac now lists nearly all ETF's in their monthly newsletter.
