Anybody who is still clinging to the "humanitarian mission" or "spreading democracy" crap is an idiot. I am sure you've noticed that that issue rarely comes up anymore. As democracy craters in the US, its real hard to say that your its proponent in another country. I can't believe I defended them in the beginning of the Iraqi war when Europeans and others said it was all about the oil. As much as I hated Bush, I could not believe they were that base. Clearly, I was wrong.
