Whether the case is successful or not IMHO our Justice department MUST file charges EVERY TIME anyone violates our National Security laws, if for no other reason to not allow those laws to be watered down and circumvented. Sort of like Trademark protection. PLUS a case like this which would of course get National attention would EDUCATE the public as to the dangers of our YELLOW SHEET JOURNALISM. jdn

Sometimes DAs have to prosecute cases that have less certainty than ideal. The NYTimes and Punch Salsberger need to be prosecuted. It might send a message to them that treason is taken seriously. It might help the ignorant understand what treason is.
