...the level of drawdown is yet to be determined.

You are like an ostrich with your head buried in the sand. I bolded the level of withdrawl that is being contemplated for now. KNowing how Bush operates, soon there will be withdrawls without the public being told similar to his clandestine surveillance of Americans.

Another excerpt from the NYT news item and I quote:
Nouri al-Maliki’s much-anticipated plan lacked important details, but issued specific instructions to Iraqi security forces to rapidly take control of the country so U.S. and other foreign troops can leave eventually. It didn’t include a deadline for their withdrawal.

There is no specific plan but however the Iraqi security forces have been issued "specific" instructions to "rapidly" take control. What does the term rapidly indicate to any common reader. I can see you pouncing on the lines about no specific date. And that is exactly my point. The terms "rapidly" etc. does tell an intelligent American how stupid their President is.

Being stupid is ridiculous, but to support the stupidity is even worse.

Bush is planning to "cut and run and surrender" apparently. Doesn't the rightwing consider common sense troop redeployments as cowardly "cutting and running"> Or is that only when a democrat rightfully suggests it?

What total hypocrites and liars Bushies are. And so bad on running our military. The worst ever. All talk no walk. Like Bush with his ranch when he can't even ride a horse.

Dumbya's policy in Iraq : "Lie and Let Die"

And as elections approach, it becomes "Trim and Tiptoe".

As to what the Iraqi government wants, the PM gets a 15-minute notice that the Emperor is landing. Nuf sed.

... the level of drawdown is yet to be determined

Dumbya's shameless manouvers to win the November elections is clear to all those who can see.

As for the "level of drawdown", either withdraw every last soldier or send in another 300,000 (I am sure there are enough College Republicans to fill those slots!). Withdrawing 10K or 20K troops is only going to put the rest of the troops in greater danger. But then Dumbya doesn't give a damn about the troops (nor do his stupid flag-waving fans)...
