In Pennsylvania, Rendell Leads by 14 Points
In the Pennsylvania governor's race, Gov. Ed Rendell (D) now leads Lynn Swann (R) 50% to 36%, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll.

When first entering the race, Swann actually held early leads over Rendell. "Pundits in the state have attributed Swann's slackening pace to early overconfidence, several political missteps, and inadequate fundraising."

In Pennsylvania, Casey Stays Way Ahead
Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) now trailes Bob Casey (D) by 15 points, 52% to 37%, in his re-election bid, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll.

"The overall trend remains very unhappy for Santorum: he has reached a 40% level of support just once in our last eight polls of the race. Casey has topped 50% in all but one of those polls."
