Northern journey was a wonderful experience. I am not sure I've ever teared up just looking at landscape before...but some of those sites definitely brought emotions. btw...Schweetie has requested I find us a "repeat" trip next August. From what we understand, mid August would be prime time to see Salmon, bears and more whales...along with mature moose, etc. Whatchathink? Are you packed and returned to warmer climes by that time of year? Yeah, that trip was amazing. Schweetie's brother just got home last night and we're going to "compare notes" soon. It was interesting that while we rode on the outside landing on our train ride (in t-shirt, trying to keep from melting)...brother in law said they couldn't step out for more than a couple minutes because it was so cold! Even on top of Mendenhall, we were hot! I'm thinking our trip was the exception more than the rule. HEY...if I email pictures of Whittier, ya think you could point out anything of interest? <gg> Later! e' p.s. You're welcome. :)
