Naturally, the story of the day is this "grave offense" of scanning potential terrorists bank records to actually see what they are doing with the money, who they are getting it from, and where it is going. The horror of being proactive in the fight on terror! Shame on the Bush Administration! Why have I not listened to Ted Kennedy and Rep. Ed Markey from Massachusetts, who yesterday said it was something that needed to be investigated and reined in before it got out of control. One problem though Ed, members of Congress had already been briefed on the program. Your colleagues knew about it. Maybe you didn't know about it, but they did. Of course, you all think its proactive to scan bank records or wiretap phones or let the police break into a house without a subpoena. You've made it very clear that you would sell America's crown jewels, its Constitution and its soul in a heartbeat in order to either fill your pockets or keep at bay your fears of a nuke falling on the US. [BTW your fears come from eating too much and not getting enough exercise.......see SUVs. It leads to heartburn and hyperventilation which in turn leads to the fight or flight response. Don't know what fight or flight is? There's an explanation on google.....look it up.] Of course, privacy means nothing to you all and you would like the rest of us to look the other way. Sorry, dude, no can do. You made a mess of Iraq, New Orleans, Beaumont, TX, the UN, America's relationships with its allies etc. Do you really think we are about to look the other way when you start tinkering with the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence? I don't think so!
