"What's destroying the Democrats is the non-existence of any form of backbone....." Which backbone--the one to follow murtha, dean, kerry or the one to stress competence in fp and not just the left wingiology. Personally i think we are moving to a stronger possiblity for a mainstream third party that attracts scoop jackson democrats along with non-neocon, realist, economic and social moderate republicans. From McCain on the current rightwing all the way over to some greenies with fp backbone. In order to be in the party, all must agree that this admin has largely been a failure and even worse on iraq, not only or especially in getting us in but more to do with the planning and strategy.
