The rich getting richer is a good thing.

If you want to make an argument you should make it about the poor getting poorer in an absolute sense.

So, let's see. The relatively rich are almost as relatively rich as they were toward the end of the Clinton White House, but not quite as relatively rich as they were 65-90 years ago, before they got relatively poorer during and after WWII. And your point is ... ?

Teddy! Say, did you hear that the University of Colorado Regents finally voted to fire Ward Churchill for his remarks calling the 911 victims "Nazis". We are always happy to see you compassionate liberals.

Or do you agree with Duray that they deserved it because they traded against him every day?

>>A chart showing... the rich<<

Does that data surprise you? The wealthy have a couple things in common - they hold Stocks & Mutual Funds PLUS a lot of Real Estate. Their stock/mf portfolio's increased substantially in the 90's and their RE holdings doubled/tripled in value over the past 5-6 years.

If you really want to know who the "rich people" are then read The Millionaire Next Door, fascinating data. You'll find that wealth doesn't discriminate between the Left or Right side of the political spectrum.

Oh, you want to look at STATISTICS! Well, let's look at a few others.

nationmaster.com
Or, to put it dfifferently, Americans rank 5th in the world in the proportion of income they "contribute" to their government.

nationmaster.com
We do rank only 17th in proportion of GDP that goes to taxes. The socialist psradises are greedier.

You were bitching about the rich getting richer? The US id 3rd in taxation of the top 30% in income!
nationmaster.com

We rank 9th in taxation of the bottom 30% of income earners- -behind 8 "socialist paradises.
