There have been some good gains, and a few losses, WRT gun issues in the last few years....This isn't stasis, IMO. You're looking at past activity. There is activity/change and then it levels off. There is always past activity before stasis is achieved. When it has leveled off and there is no likely future activity, I call that near stasis. If you don't like the word, though, I don't have to use it. As for a change of administration, I don't see either side moving this. Both sides may try but I don't think either has the oomph to get anything going. Lots of yakking, maybe, but no results.
