Pishosh....those old shells predate the '91 war.

They weren't useable in their current condition and Saddam himself probably didn't even know they were still around.

I had to laugh at Santorum making such a big deal of it and wrote a couple of posts about his holding another press conference about the fact that they had found some munitions buried near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, which although VERY old and probaly unuseable, COULD be an indication of a TERRORIST PLOT....LOL
