Actually, "men" have only been around for 40000 years or so. I think we only spent about 30000 living in caves <g>

When I was a kid in Arizona, we took a hike up Sycamore Canyon and could see the naked hippies living in caves not too far away, at least one with kids. Bet they would have loved a credit bubble to inflate their living conditions with no additional effort.

most people on this thread are scared of their own shadow.... I view the economy a bit differently.... things change, a business that might have been very profitable for many years can't survive now. There are reasons for that change. I have heard the doom and gloom prophets for many years, the song is always the same, they just change the reason 'why'.

Gold bugs are a special lot in my mind, they can never seem to justify the economy as it does not need gold and deep inside them they distrust the govt. and business. The glass is always worse than half empty, the world is always on the verge of total collapse and they can't figure out how come no one sees these things but them.

There will be ups and downs, there will be survivors and winners in all things, but the doom and gloom guys just are not on the same wave length as myself nor the majority of people that count.
