Ken Blackwell, the Ohio GOP'er who is black, presided over the wholesale disenfranchisement of black voters in the 2004 Ohio election.

Using Jim Crow dirty tricks to keep blacks from voting is right out of old Dixie. The GOP knows this, so they find blacks to do the dirty work for them. No doubt Blackwell was paid off. Condi Rice sure was at Chevron. Even got an oil tanker named after her. As for Watts, all I know is his district was crammed with defense plants. So what's where the bread was buttered. No surprise the NRA invited him to be their token negro.

"JC Watts is a rightwing token black spokesman, not a real black person."

Actually, JC, the last black elected Repugnican, got tired of being a Repugnican token and quit when he realized the white boys weren't EVER going to give him any responsibilities beyond that of appearing in photos with them.

You deny JC Watts was over-used as a highly-visible token black by the almost all-white GOP? How many times have you seen him on TV vs. the 100 or so white southern GOP congressmen?

Do you deny Condi Rice had almost no qualifications to be National Security Advisor, and knew almost nothing about Al Qaida? Then do you deny she was promoted despite ignoring the 9-11 warnings and lying about WMD?

Do you deny Ken Blackwell, the GOP's black Secretary Of State in Ohio made his bones with the GOP by a statewide effort to limit the amount of black voters in the last election?

These three show what blacks in the GOP (or NRA) are, not just tokens, but paid-off tokens. After all, what the hell was Condi Rice doing on the board of Chevron, Bush Sr'.s favorite oil company? As if she knew anything about the energy business.
