True....in the heat of battle, terrible things happen. Such is the nature of violent conflict. That's a whole different issue though.

What we're talking about with this torture issue is something different than brutality committed on the battlefield. On that I would think you'd have to agree? What's your opinion on the secret prisons in the Eastern European nations and Egypt where US detainees are shuffled off to? Why do you think they need to be detained in these nations and not here in the US?
