Exxon says Gore is lying, because Exxon is a major pollutor and is overflowing with billions of dollars now gouged from consumers, so it can afford as many PR BS artists and sell-out scientists as it wants. There are many scientists who will say anything for a $100,000 check.

It is a fact that global warming is underway. We have glaciers melting and sea levels are rising. These are measured facts.

As to the cause of global warming, I have not seen anything yet that convinces me that the current global warming is man made.

I don't see how politics enters into the discussion. Global warming is not a republican or democrat issue. It's an issue for the entire world.

Most definitely we need to study what may be causing warming. And most definitely we need to have a plan on what to do in the face of global warming. Rising sea levels will affect all of our ports and sea coasts. We need to be ready in case of rapid sea level rises. Failure to be ready for the change could definitely affect the economy and well being of the nation.

As for the reduction of so called greenhouse gasses, doesn't the reduction of pollution have other benefits for your planet? Reducing the use of oil and coal should be a goal for the nation, environmentally and geopolitically.

I'm definitely for the reduction of pollution and the conservation of energy. Who is against that?
