The court upheld the state's ability to break with the tradition of redrawing Congressional districts only right after the official federal census every 10 years.... This means that there will now be a LAND RUSH to gerrymander all over the damn place. Look for every State with a Democratic Governor and Legislature to start redrawing districts the way they want them to look... and every state with a Republican Governor and Republican Legislature to do the flipflop. This is BAD... but maybe it will finally become a crisis big enough for the public to demand a cure to all the partisanship and election crap and 90% plus reelection rate for walled-in incumbents.
