Sadly, if you did the following, many on the left would approve. Each time I even think of voting left of center, I look at their track record on these issues......needless to say, those ideas are quickly gone.

Let's just hang those Marines accused in the Haditha incident. Get it over with. They don't need a court martial. They're guilty. The media already decided the case.

A few other Marines and soldiers are also accused of murder in Iraq. Save our tax dollars. Just hang them, too.

Forget the stresses of combat. Forget that war really is hell. Whatever you do, don't mention the atrocities committed by the terrorists or insurgents.

Those two young American soldiers tortured to death a few weeks ago? Bury that story fast. The terrorists are the good guys. We're the only torturers.

Don't close Guantanamo. Put our troops in the cells. There's no surer way to quell the media's outrage over Gitmo than freeing the terrorists held there and filling it with our soldiers. Don't worry about individual charges. Collective guilt applies.

Two Palestinians were killed and another seven, including a baby, wounded when a grenade accidentally exploded in the southern Gaza Strip.

All the casualties were members of the same family.

Suicide bombers Killed In Failed Attack On US Convoy
Breaking News.ie ^ | 6/28/06

Two suicide car bombers launched a failed attack on a US military convoy in southern Afghanistan today, killing only themselves, police said.

The violence comes as more than 10,000 US-led forces hunt resurgent militants across southern Afghanistan.

Zabul provincial police chief Noor Mohammed Paktin said three men were involved in planning the suicide attack, though only two were inside the Toyota vehicle that blew up near an American convoy.

Police are searching for the third man, who is an Afghan, he said.

The attack happened just outside Zabul province’s capital of Qalat.

No civilians or coalition soldiers were wounded, said governor’s spokesman Ali Khail.

Paktin said police had received information that the men “wanted to commit a terrorist act.”

A purported Taliban commander, Mullah Masum, telephoned The Associated Press to claim responsibility, but mentioned only one attacker.

Masum promised there would be more attacks in the future, adding: “We will pursue suicide attacks against coalition forces.”
