"...What would be their reaction if Bill was prez?" You beat me to it. That would be the point I'd make. These arguments would be reversed if the party in power were reversed. I'm amazed at some of the things Repubs are saying now, and the Dems, too. It seems that exactly the same arguments are being used by each side, only they've flipped 180 so the Repubs say what the Dems used to say, and vice-versa. I think it was Cobalt who said that all the politicians are statists, regardless of party. That seems to me to more true than I'd like to believe.
