The attack on the Russians was indeed stupid. They were getting back at the Russians for the Chechnya, i presume. If all the dealmaking going on in iraq pans out, al quaeda will be the first group to be given up. Iraqi sunnis are not nutjobs and I think at a later date we will see that sunni ex-baathists tried to use them for their dirtywork and not the other way around. Killing Ruskys is not something baathists would approve of and they may very well well give these dudes up to the the soviets, er er i mean ruskys.
