Accidental grenade explosion kills two Palestinians
AFP ^ | June 28, 2006

Two Palestinians were killed and another seven, including a baby, wounded when a grenade accidentally exploded in the southern Gaza Strip.

Family members were playing with a grenade in the town of Khan Yunis when it exploded, killing 23-year-old Qassem Massud and his one-year-old niece, medical and security sources said Wednesday.

All the casualties were members of the same family.

No, making it illegal to burn the American flag would put the U.S. on par with many other totalitarian regimes both past and present. That is not what I think, that is a fact. The fact that we can burn our flag sets us apart from former totalitarian regimes like NAZI Germany and the Communist Soviet Union, and present day facist regimes. Our freedom does not come from this right, but it is reflected in this right.

If you would like to take us one step closer to totalitarianism, support a ban on flag burning. I would not burn a flag myself or encourage anyone to do so, but I would rather live in a country where you are free to do so than one in which it is illegal like so many other totalitarian regimes both past and present. Therefore, I am against sliding America toward totalitarianism. Why is this necessary?
