We have not needed it until recently. How often did anti Americans get major news coverage in the seventeenth and eighteenth century? Nineteenth? First half of the twentieth?

I am not convinced we need it, and might vote either way if it was on a Constitutional Referendum.

Do you feel slighted when people do not give you the benefit of the doubt? There are some who believe with all of their souls that we need to protect our national symbols. There are probably some who are using it to stir the conservative base.
