The discussion can possibly still be interesting to the disagreeing parties, and also these are public posts, not private messages to each other. Precisely my point. We should try to save our colleagues on the thread some of our disagreements. Sometimes it's interesting. I learn from trying to write a response; I'm reasonably certain you learn also. But much of the time we are tapping the same disagreements. I wasn't being serious about the signal, however. Just a bit of humor as I rush out the door to an evening meeting.
