russ, I just think the Fed believes they can attract foreign capital by keeping the economy strong through robust credit growth rather than high interest rates. Tanking the economy and asset bubbles with high interest rates would probably cause more capital to flee than to want to come into the country.

Ultimately this is a house of cards doomed to failure. I'm probably being too cute by trying to game the next 1 to 3 weeks before letting the hounds loose on a strong short position.
