Good posting Metacomet. Whether it's right or wrong, I subscribe to it. Someone asks, "Who should we believe ?". Why, "Our leader, of course !"

Gutsy post metacomet and the truth. But I think that pertains more to the corporations and neocon elite who have some material or political gain to their nonsensical thinking.

What is a tragedy in my opinion is that the little guy who keeps voting and supporting for Bush does not understand Bush is an elitist. I think that concept does not cross their mind.

Many conservatives see this global warming issue like they see the environmentalists, NRA, religion, gay marriage and burning the flag issues. It is part and parcel of "A belief system", which they do not objectively scrutinize.

The average Joe conservative does not understand that Bush is a true believer elitist. One of bush's Harvard professors (A Japanese immigrant-who got his legal immigration so he could speak out)) said in an interview that Bush is an elitist. He also said bush was in the bottom 10% of the class and a pathological liar??

I have watched closely and for five years Bush has done everything in his power to transfer as much wealth as he can from the poor and middle class to the rich.

This elitism Bush embraces for himself and friends completely escapes the average conservative as they are only looking at the issues mentioned above where they are in agreement e.g. hating environmentalists and liberals (Ann Coulter's book "godless" was number 1)-lol. So if the environmentalists and liberals are sounding the alarm about global warming the conservative's knee jerk reaction is to oppose it.

As a consequence, many conservative's minds are closed to the global warming issue. And the fate of the world may hang in the balance!
