and would be interesting to hear a report on the mood there, when you return.

I too think the FED should pause but mainly because I think they really can't hike too hard w/o throwing into relief many problems which I assume they are trying to avoid. I just think they get a weaker dollar and real problematic action in the bond market, for sustained hawkish action. Behind the curtains of the US economy is a potentially deflationary debt bomb on the private sector side, and an equally large *inflationary* debt bomb on the public side. They get too aggressive, and all that gets put into play.
