Ask yourself why Bush-Cheney want to skirt all laws regarding domestic surveillance, waging war, counter-terrorism, torture, subterfuge, privacy laws, etc.

Do you actually believe it's because they are most interested in catching terrorists? If they are so interested in knocking out AL Qaida why did they pull out of Afghanistan before the job was done and focus everything we had on Iraq, a country which had no active terrorist ties?

This goes back to the UN smear job. The Bushies wanted that Iraqi oil. It connects all the dots. It was a huge greedy oil-grab and a huge mistake. They planned the seizure of the oil-fields greast, but didn't plan for anything else once the invasion had taken place. Three years later our entire military is bogged down there getting worn down, down, down. Exxon is 50 billion richer and US taxpayers are a trillion dollars poorer.

Bushies Started Illegal Spying Program 7 Months Before 9-11

This proves the illegal spying really has little or nothing to do with counter-terrorism, my suspicion all along.
