"Did you read Crying of Lot 49 and V? "

You can't just take one taste of Pynchon. That is, if yo like him. I know one guy who got part way through Rainbow and took it out in the garage and drilled holes in it. But he was wound a little tight any way. The Crying of Lot 49 was a tough read for me. Hard to follow all the threads.

I gather Mason & Dixon was a later work? I don't remember it at all. I did track down some of his short stories, they were pretty uneven.

Edit: looked it up and yeah. Looks like Pynchon started to write again after I gave up waiting.

I'm still working at Mason and Dixon, less than 150 pages so far. Need to read some other stuff on the side as well you know.
