the complaining victim has a fundamental right to be free from assault and murder, too. The complaining victim has a right not to be assaulted or murdered, but the right not to be assaulted or murdered doesn't equal a general right to disarm others. A hearing within 5 days does make the imposition against the gun owner more tolerable, esp. if that policy is strictly followed. Its not a big issue for me personally and directly because I'm not a gun owner, but it is something I'm concerned about in terms of politics and rights.
