Republicans keep stepping on their own toes, and Pelosi, Dean, et al come to the rescue

As long as the Dems keep losing the worst of the leftists will run the party. The smaller the total of Dems in office, the more left they are.

When the Dems gain, they get more liberals. When the Republicans gain, they get more centrists. It's a good thing, really. It keeps either extreme from gaining total control.
