DURALAST Plastic lumber.... if I'm not mistaken, DURLAST is a type of plastic resin. I've seen Duralast fencing and lawn furniture made of plastic. It could be that DURLAST just describes the resin used in the lumber. Any comments?

I've got some fog in the cobwebs regarding this issue, so we need to call in ThinkingBig who was around back when this all got rolling. PLNI had, or contracted with, a facility somewhere that experienced a fire - really set things back, as I recall. I think that is where they were originally making plastic wood, because it was definitely one of their products back then. Concurrently, someone needs to get up with JT or BH and get a definitive explanation of where we're at with the plastic wood. Personally, I don't see it as a big deal anyway. Too much competition by other companies who may or may not give a rat's tush about quality. PLNI R&D was working on a new type of insulated wall panels a while ago. That has huge implications in the construction of schools and other institutional facilities. I'd like to know more about what the new stuff in the pipeline is - to keep PLNI innovative..!!!
