90% of the time the weather is 80% like yesterday, except for when it changes, which you can see in a barometer well before it happens.

As far as 3 day predictability, depending on where you are, the weather is almost exactly like any point 600 miles south of you 3 days later. The reason is that while weather travels east in the northern hemisphere, it also circulates by coriolis tragic story in a counterclockwise fashion into lows, and therefore the southern leading edge eventually ends up on the north side in about 60-72 hours.
