Without sounding trite . . .

you being up two pieces of data that are key to consumer products: defect/return rates and customer referral. Granted they don't show up on balance sheets or income statements, but they do affect revenues and costs of good sold. Returns cost money and referrals can generate revenue growth. Too many returns can be a problem and I have heard too many stories of folks sending machines back. The saving grace is that most of them like the product after they get one that works. I hope the company works through their quality issues soon enough to not impact their word-of-mouth appeal.

I think your making an investment to the future of robots. there have been a few robot pure play companies over the last 10 years, but most have fizzled. Though there are currently a few robot companies, this one seems to have some potential consumer sizzle. Not much history to go on as it IPO'd nov of '05. I beleive the company itself was started around 1990. Should be a break even /+ this year which is nice. I beleive that the real money will come from the military side packbots etc. The consumer side should bring in people like yourself who like gadgets. Bring em in with consumer fluff make profits with government contracts.

That said, Christmas should give them the type exposure they need. I bot a ROOMBA a couple years ago as a gift. She still loves the thing. I assume the new ones are even better. But its a two edged sword. Lots of returns or a luke warm reception for Scooba would not help their image. If they have any new consumer items that catch fire, well thats the sizzle of this company.

gambling money.

I read the comments to your post by the other posters and I think they are spot on. I couldn't add much to what has been said.
