Poll: 60% Believe NY Times Story Aids Terrorists, Bush Now at 41%

President George W. Bush Checks in with a 41% approval rating in the latest Opinion Dynamics Corporation poll for FOX News. The president's number is at is highest mark in months, according to the poll.

The New York Times did not fare as well as Americans overwhelmingly support a program to monitor financial transactions in search of terrorist funding.

Seven of 10 Americans support the program, including majorities of Republicans (83 percent), independents (67 percent) and Democrats (58 percent), according to the survey.

Bush maintains his 60% disapproval rating. So we may end up with 40% pro and 60% against. Very divided, but a 20% lead.

According to pollsters, the 60% are more hardline this year than the supporters. They will not change thier mind. But the Bush supporters are wondering whether they can vote GOP again without vomiting.

Polls show Democrats favored by 14% over Repubs this November. Bush's slight bounce has not helped his GOP cronies and comrades in congress. They are just as unpopular as ever, despite all their coverups of corruption, smoke and mirrors and wedge issue BS.
