WW2 was a war with armies. This is like the drug war. Do you ever get out? Even folks like me who know viscerally we are at war and understand the danger can see the nuance. Is the right wing brain dead?

He loves how ridiculous and fearful and cowardly and ignorant you are. He hopes that all Americans are just like you because you are easy to manipulate by OBL. OBL loves you because he gets: - Troops out of SA - Secular Saddam toppled - US divided, bankrupt, despised, stuck - Iraq and the region in a state of chaos - OBL and AQ elevated to a state of ridiculousness into an enemy able to terrorize and threaten a country of 300 million people and the largest military ever. OBL LOVES YOU because you are incapable of thinking and reasoning and acting in a responsible manner as a decent American. If you're not going to understand reality then you should go around with a t-shirt that reads: OBL loves me.

What nonsense. The population in '40 was < half that in Y2K, so percentage losses were twice as high. And the Philippines were attacked on 12/8, Guam 12/10, Wake Island 12/10. Not hardly the same thing. WW2? We beat the Japanese with virtually one hand and a leg tied up (the first goal was to beat Germany, and we lost a good percentage of our Pacific fleet) in 44 months. We have been fighting in Afghanistan for 55 months. What a great commander in chief, eh?
