I may be gone.
The original of the Illyad was in someone's head who told it to Homer. Both of those copies as well as the original are long gone. Other copies remain unto this day.

It's like asking where the original dog is. That dog is long dead and it's atoms distributed throughout the world. Descendant dogs still remain.

The corelary is: Information (ideas) are not eternal nor immortal.
