7/7/06 Update The bears were back in charge and the Nasdaq Biotech Index closed the week down -6.7% YTD vs. -6.0% YTD at its 6/30/06 close. The Charity Contest stocks also got mauled and as of the 7/7/06 close the median for the 40 portfolios is down -5.93% YTD vs. -3.14% YTD the prior week At Friday's close, RKRW remained in the lead (up 27.9% YTD) with CYRAN (up 17.4% YTD) holding on to second place. Just 12 of the 40 Charity portfolios were in positive territory YTD and only 20 of the 40 now outperform the Nasdaq Biotech Index. Enjoy the weekend everybody!
