"Huh? Do you know what percent of mortgages have been ARM's in the past five years?" While all mortgage rates are climbing, only a relatively small percentage of the total population is taking out new mortgages. In other words, all home buyers may be very aware of a rising inflation rate, but that subset of the population is a small percentage of the total. And most of those probably haven't given even a passing thought as to whether the government is cooking the numbers. I'm of the opinion that most are happily unaware. Pat
