I think the point of the Bircher column and my post were missed. Asking for coherent plans and intelligent dialogue is not demonizing and this kind of response from both parties SHOULD be demanded; I am right with you there. However, it isn't just Democrats who are concerned about the path taken with this administration and its actions. Many conservatives have serious questions and these issues are unrelated to the role the Democrats play. The Dems are really a sort of mosquito issue for the moderates. Unless they do as you suggest, they aren't offering a viable alternative, either. But the direction of the current conservative party DOES concern the moderates.
The koolaid is offered on both sides. And if people can't see this, it could be they've had a bit too much of their own yadayada to drink.
Of course this doesn't mean you or I- we are obviously both teetotalers.
