The attack on NY Times is a coverup of Bush's impeachable offense of dishonestly and illegally totally avoiding mandatory FISA court laws and spying on any American or anyone else he wants without any rules. The potentiasl for gross abuses of power here is far too tempting for someone whose "brains" are Karl Rove and Dick Cheney. Even if you could trust GW, you definitely cannot trust Rove and Cheney with access to these kind of powers. They have cheated and lied before and they will continue to.

Notice also that the Bushie rightwing glorifies successful cheating the lying. Recently, Jeb Bush gave the smearvets a medal for thinking up the most outrageous lies possible about Kerry's war record, then somehow getting the networks to give them equal air time. It was a great triumph of dirty politics over democracy.
