Buchanan believes the Alien and Sedition act of 1917 plus another old espionage act covers this case. If they were used to prosecute, it would go to the SC and they would have to decide.

For political reasons, no administration is going to take the MSM to court and make martyrs out of them. "Big Government takes on free press." Bad idea.

What can and should have been done immediately in this case, IMO, is that the Justice Dept should have questioned the reporters and found out who leaked. The leakers should have then been fired. Going any further at this time would just have aided the other side.

Bush has caved and has not done this. Bad decision, IMO.
