yes, he has been on this thread for almost ten years. never thought of his postings as a game to play stock price rather posts that express his thoughts and i expect with some background in the industry his opinion.

Do you really think that? I've seen events unfold (press releases and such) alongside a skewed misrepresentation enough times so that I did not even think of that possibility.

There is no doubt that Nokia in particular, and Europe in general, hates Q. Viscerally. (Due, as best I can tell, to Q playing by a different set of rules - often more above board, but that just seems crass and morally-know-it-all to the clubby incumbents)

There is no doubt that Q is imperfect. E.g. some promises that, taken out of context, seem like hype.

Given the above and fact that Eric, I suspect, worked with Nokia et al it should be no surprise that he magnifies any Q negatives - just as a lot people here completely(!) overlook any Q warts. He is rarely, if ever, completely wrong - just performing a magnification with a negative spin. And he is more knowledgable about the standards than anyone else on this board - bar none.

I just take it with a grain of salt when he expounds on Q morality and motivation (e.g. the reasons they didn't implement SIM).
