It is not necessary to explain every step from singularity to gumball, although that would be nice. In time that may be available.

It does not explain the container that gets filled by the space of the exploding gumball
That is outside the universe and therefore not relevant.

There are parts of our own universe that are so far away that they did not affect our part, and never will affect it since they are drawing away faster than their information could reach us.

You might be inclined to ask why we can ignore that which is outside the universe. This goes back to an old Einstein problem and it really boils down to the fact that the math and the sytems work within the closed system of the universe. If something outside the universe were in a cause-effect relationship with the stuff inside the universe it would show up as gross distortions of the cause-effect relationships within the universe.
