The priorities of US Congress are: 1. flag burning 2. gay marriage The issues placed in the back burner are: 1. Social security short fall 2. Health care 3. Budget deficit 4. Trade deficit 5. Education 6. Immigration 7. Unnecessary war in Iraq 8. Osama bin Laden 9. etc. As a Republican opposing the neocons a la Rove, I was hoping to get the support from the Democrats. Little that I know that the Democrats are agreeing with Bush: witness Diane Feinstein supports for banning flag burning. So does Hillary Clinton. Lieberman? I never counted on him. Kerry? abortion issue. Happy 4th of July. God help us all!
