The right wing has been beating the daylights out of us liberals on all fronts for years now. On every front of government and legislation, Bush would rub our noses in right wing chit. He starts an illegal war and dares us to challenge him. He violates the constitution at will and the congress supports him. He and the republican congress squander our resources and no one stands up to him. He puts rape and pillage heads in charge of the environment and tries to destroy every facet of civilization and civil rights we have developed over the last 50 years. They have even made liberalism a bad word. As George Clooney, one of my heros, said: "I am tired of the right wing making liberalism a bad word, I am proud to be a liberal. There are few places anywhere in the country a liberal can even run as a liberal. But it goes so much further, the press was so scared of the right wing we had no discourse on the war in Iraq. Except for the great Helen Thomas all the news people laid down to fear for their jobs. Hillary, Kerry, Edwards all voted for the war and none of them believed in it, but were sure if they didn't their political career's would be ended. Bush and Rove divide us with issues like gay marriage, flag burning, and charges of liberals not being patriot and destroy the programs for the poor while calling themselves compassionte conservatives (lies, lies and more lies) Then here comes Howard Dean, who told the bold truth right from the beginning and fought the right wingers, mano y mano. He is/was fearless, brillant and articulate. We just got tired DAK, and decided it was time to fight back no matter what the consequences.
