Re: Trouble with the Core 2 Launch?

While your link shows 64-bit 35w 2ghz dual core Athlons are being offered by 3 stores, listings for Core 2 parts from Intel have been pulled except for "Memory Labs" which is taking pre-orders only:

Core 2 doesn't launch for over three weeks yet. Energy Efficient Athlons launched a month and a half ago. None of the three listings for the 35W EE 3800+ had any in stock. The Athlon 64 EE launch looks far more troubled than Core 2. Froogle has many Core 2 listings:

Dan3, Re: Trouble with the Core 2 Launch?>

Reminds me very much of the K6 launch. Demos available before launch in 166, 190? and 233.

I ordered, at lauch, the beginning of April, IIRC, a 233 from Partner Cybermax.

AMD was a thrilling ride 'till the middle of May, especially on the day Prudential recommended AMD with a one year target of ?$90? ?$100?.

But the stock started dropping, the K6-233 hadn't shown upin volume, and in July Cybermax offered me a 200 "NOW" with a free upgrade to 233 when it became available. I sold the stock, passed on the upgrade, IIRC, and didn't get my computer, very nice, for another 6 months.

An ad nauseam post from me for the folks who have been here for a while.

A "Bridge Too Far" for Super Salesman Jerry.

Just thinking back about past abortive launches,

Dan3 - Aw, c'mon already! You don't think it might have to do with the fact it hasn't yet been introduced and is not even close to intro yet, do you?
