There are probably 20 major gangs here in Chicago with quite a large membership. And I'm sure that's duplicated across the country. They do bad things to themselves and others every day.

Does this excuse anything? No. John Wayne Gassey lived around here somewhere. That Domler fella was up the road in Milwaukee. As the saying goes, sh*t happens.

If the allegations are true, all involved should, and I'm sure will, be punished vigorously. I have a hard time extrapolating anything else from this incident. As I've already noted, it's not helpful and unfortunate, and I'll add reprehensible and disgusting, if it happened as is being reported.

Dehumanization of the enemy. How do you think we got through WWII?

No doubt the Army and Marines need to do a better job managing these troops. But some criminals will get through and others will end up doing things they never would have if not for exposure to combat.

No doubt you have you personal victory here being able to point out how bad the US military personnel are. After all the focus on the panty on the prisoner's head alleged cover up.

This post demonstrates a ridiculous leap of "hate the military" illogic. How many female GI's do you think have been raped during the war? I'll wager it's more than one.

Have freaks who wish to control women through rape dehumanized their own platoon as well?

There is nothing wrong with pointing out egregious criminal behavior. What's wrong is taken an incident, or a few incidents, and assuming it's representative of the culture of the entire military.

How many lawyers have been indicted for rape in the past 3 years? Using your leaps of logic, if one rape has occurred, it must mean the legal profession condones and protects such behavior.

How about cops?

How about fireman?

How about farmers?

How about buss drivers?

How about GS workers?

How about college students?

Americans who repeatedly publicize the few wrongful acts perpetuated by military members, then use it as an excuse to condemn the entire organization, are not only acting seditionist and playing into the hands of our enemies during a time of war, but, they are acting ungrateful toward all the fine men and women risking their lives every day for your protection.

No organization is free of disturbed individuals who perpetuate illegal acts. I'll wager when comparing apples to apples in regard to age and other social-economic factors, military personnel measure up quite well with your average American. That comparison is what has been severely missing in your repeated posts condemning the military. And it appears no matter how someone responds; you will fail to consider that aspect.
